ParticipantI can reccomend one NOT to hire. Actually, I’m afraid to mention his name/company name since we’ll probably be in court with him by August.
But check the CSLB.ca.gov site – I know for a fact his license is inactive and a complaint shows against him… so if you see an inactive license or complaint RUN!!!
(He’s based in Carlsbad and has an Irish last name.)
He ripped us off for about $100k before walking off mid-way through our job. It was a living nightmare.

Participant
Edit: Here we go. 1955 Missouri short sale listed at 234 psf. Still not at Case-Shiller 2002 price, but for PB, it’s an indication of pain on the way.
Complete hijack….
I spent a lot of time on that block growing up. My grandparents rented a 2 bedroom apartment for 15+ years in the complex at the end of the cul-de-sac. (I think it was condo-converting in the 80’s when my grandmother moved out.)UCGal

ParticipantIt isn’t fair. Your absolutely right.
But it happens all the time. 15 years ago I was on a super-crunch project… everyone else on the project was married with kids. So they all had good excuses why they couldn’t work weekends or pull all nighters. So they ended up working 50 hours a week where I was talked into working 70-80 hours per week. My boss told me, as he left for the weekend to go to soccer games with his kids, that life wasn’t fair. I ended up quiting because I was so burnt out. I had to point out to him that I would remain single and kid free if I never left work and had a chance to date and meet anyone. His jaw dropped because that never occurred to him.
I guess this is my long winded way of saying – I agree with you that it’s not fair. But it’s also common. I’m sorry you’re being put through this.

Everyone I know was polled too.
If you have an address, you’ll get polled. You may choose to ignore it, but you will receive the census questionaire in 2010.
At a $1billion price tag for us taxpayers, I better :)
Continuing the hijack…Well considering it’s actually required under the constitution to determine congressional seats, we all better. 😉
