ParticipantOh yeah, I forgot to mention that oil went from $40 to $140 under President Chimpy. What a complete disaster that guy was.

ParticipantBill needed the occasional BJ from a third-party every now and then, but he was a damn fine president. America has never been stronger than it was under Clinton. No way would Clinton have fallen asleep on the job and allowed 4,000 Americans to be killed in a terrorist attack.
McCain on the other hand is a moral trainwreck. He was a proud member of the Keating Five and his entire election team is made up of lobbyists. I’m not so sure that McCain wouldn’t be even worse than Bush — if such a thing were even possible.

ParticipantIn any event, we’ll see. Come November, if Obama wins and there is a D majority in congress with a D president, we’ll see how fiscally conservative you folks are and how little the government grows under your tutelage.
I predict that there will be excuses aplenty in a year or so…
There’s no way the Democrats can do any worse than the Republicans did. Under Bush, the dollar index went from 110 to 70, there was an unnecessary $3 trillion war, there was a massive housing bubble with fraud rampant throughout the entire banking system, and the incomes of most Americans were either stagnant or went down.
With the Republicans, we’ve had massive government spending with nothing to show for it. Under the Democrats, I imagine we’ll get some actual value for our government dollars. There’s no way the Democrats can do any worse. President Chimpy has buried the bar deep in the ground.
