ParticipantTemecula actually already has some failrly large BioTech firms.
Also CSUSM does have an extension in Temecula.
Where Talent moves start-ups happen.

Participant
I know a guy who commutes daily from Dana Point to San Diego for work! Now that is pure insanity!
I imagine this is the same type of thing that happens to almost everyone in L.A. (although in this case a little more extreme maybe).
You starting out buying a home 15 minutes from work, then you get laid off and your next gig is 40-60 miles away.
I could see someone who got laid off from QCOM getting a Job in Irvine etc…
To top it off our spouse still works Local LOL. (I have seen it happen many times).

Participant

shoveler, “exurban” has nothing to do with size and everything to do with location.
What characteristic of a particular location would make a city an exurban vs urban?
If your working in Carlsbad is it still an exurb?
when an exurb starts having it’s own suburbs is it still a exurb?

Participant

Suburbs start out as bedroom communities then change to job centers.
They are not static.
Umm … except Temecula and surrounds are actually considered exurban, NOT suburban. There is a big, hu-u-u-uge difference!
For example, Diamond Bar, Chino Hills and Brea (representing 3 more conveniently-located neighboring counties to RIV) are actually suburban cities which are far more desirable to live in for a “worker bee” with a young family at home than the exurban IE …. located several more cities outward.
LOL, Temecula is growing into a big city fast.
Anyway I am done on this subject.

ParticipantThe only thing that I was referring to is that Trump understands that the national debt is a problem that can be solved without undue pain.

ParticipantWe used to have an issue with the neighbor because the HOA told them we complained about their dog.
We never complained it was that the other neighbor who complained but wanted to blame us for doing it so they could still be friends etc… so they told the HOA to tell them it was us.
all kinds of crab goes on.
Also on a Condo, there was an issue with the next condo over but the HOA did not want to confront the guy for what ever reason so they sent the notice to us LOL.

ParticipantIt is pretty clear that wages are rising, the rise in minimum wage has not killed jobs and is in fact increasing spending.
All in all not bad IMO.

ParticipantI am not sure it’s having a purpose.
I think it is that we were not meant to take it easy (we did not evolve sitting on park benches, it was more of running from Lions or chasing down rabbits type of thing).
If we don’t have some moderate stress, our bodies just shut down.

ParticipantI was reading somewhere “The reason people who work later in life live longer than those who do not”.
Turns out we need stress in our lives.
Go figure.

ParticipantI agree BG, CA is very unique in the world and there are many nice cities within SoCal.
But I find it very interesting that Temecula (being that it really was not on the map before 1980 or so), has grown as much as it has and is getting noticed in a good way.
