ParticipantIMO the World central banks are acting in collusion to create slow steady growth at all costs.
I think the only thing that could undermine that would be a political crisis
The Idea is to create the most boring slow moving market possible.
anyway IMO
Besides most small investors are sitting in cash, That won’t do for a market crash unless they are all in LOL.
I think the only way for a market crash is a war or some other political crisis IMO, no big bubble to pop, it won’t be housing this time.

ParticipantQuick throw Bernie Sanders in the race LOL.
Wow this is the weirdest election I have ever seen.
On the bright side maybe I will finally get a chance to buy back in to stocks.
I am stocked up on water, whey protein and cans of soup so I am good LOL.

Participant
Yep. I’ve been telling people that if Bernie didn’t make it past Clinton’s firewall, Trump would win in November.
LOL I was saying the same thing.
I am staging my own personal revolt by writing in Bernie.The-Shoveler
ParticipantCall it heresay if it makes you feel better or safer.
I don’t put too much stock in that doomsday clock (well maybe being that we are at three minutes now). This is what I think got us to that point today

Participant
you say the world almost ended several times in the 50’s and 60’s, but at least the weapons were accounted for.
It is fairly well documented the few times we were minutes from launch (Cuba comes to mind as the most well documented case) October 14, 1962 – October 28, 1962
Not all were accounted for as well (I am sure Russia has a lot of stories).

That said My parents were fairly good to me as well, but generally we were on our own (free range kids) and had to stick up for ourselves.

ParticipantBut don’t get me wrong there has to be deterrents and a line in the sand somewhere but it’s not in Syria IMO.
We have no biz there, all we are doing is messing it up.

ParticipantWe have not won a war since WWII,
We don’t do well in other people’s civil wars, We do better letting them be and showing how good freedom is, they join us eventually.

ParticipantYour right it’s our fault
http://time.com/3154186/millennials-selfish-entitled-helicopter-parenting/
Millennials the most coddled generation in american history and it’s our fault.

Participant
Millennial, you will enjoy this article. Boomers created Trump. Gen X are the cleanup crew
You should have been around in the 70’s to see what we inherited LOL,
People were scared to smoke next to the rivers in the mid-west, they were afraid they would catch fire LOL.everyone was encouraged to smoke BTW even doctors LOL.
I am no trump fan but Hillary and John Kerry scare the cr#p out of me as well with the games they are playing with Russia.
We should get out of the Mid-east not get deeper IMO.
The world almost ended several times in the 50’s and 60’s. came very close to all out nuclear war. These Guys are playing an even more dangerous game where Russia and American forces may be actually exchanging fire.The-Shoveler
Participant
If I knew then what I know now…
I would have become a politician. I did not realize when I was getting out of college that you could get so stinking rich being a politician. I would have even sucked it up and been a community organizer for a while.
The Clintons will reach Billionaire status in 5 to 10 years. And as long as the media doesn’t turn on him when he leaves office, Obama will be close behind.
It will be interesting to see if Hillary gets elected, will the media let Bill get away with peddling absurdly high dollar speeches for influence.
“Toastmasters”
All the guys I knew early in my career who got involved with this became CEO’s and CFO’s etc…
Public speaking in general I think becomes very lucrative.

ParticipantI generally don’t like to be political but this is the worst presidential race I have ever seen.
I think I will write in Bernie Sanders.
Where is Pat Paulsen when you need him.
The-Shoveler
ParticipantI have come to the conclusion that the USA is a free society as long as you don’t step on anyone important toes LOL.
The-Shoveler
ParticipantLOL LOL !!!
All I have to say is you should have been coming of age in the 70’s and early 80’s LOLThe world is a much better place now trust me.
Where I do feel the boomers failed the millennials is being over protective helicopter parents and creating the nanny state.
It left them unprepared I think for the harsher realities of the real world. -
