ParticipantI prefer not to wallow in victim-hood but that is just me.

ParticipantThat is an a unfortunate extreme example that does not apply to 99% of USA citizens IMO

ParticipantWith the exception of keeping me fed and a roof over my head until out of High school (Which I appreciate my parents for that), no body gave me nothing I did not go after for myself.
I do not blame anyone but me for my faults.

ParticipantGreat so you do not have to take “any” responsibility for any action or reaction LOL.
Sorry that is just Lame IMO.

ParticipantJust a general comment not aimed at anyone,
Blaming your failures as an adult on your parents is really lame IMO.

ParticipantBeen around a good part of the world (some nice places some not so nice).
Pretty much just like hanging around here these days (really hard to beat anywhere else in the world).
I like going to Montage Laguna beach resort or walking Carlsbad resort area (near downtown), walking moonlight beach etc…
Fancy cars don’t do it for me.
Maybe I found my simpler life.
Last weekend we did an overnight in Santa Barbara,
Lots of nice places real close.

ParticipantMy Wife does have a car, she ends up needing to drive “hundreds” of miles in a single day about once a week or so.
At this stage having an all electric car is like putting a Limiting-governor on what you can do with your life.
Hopefully they will solve the charging time issue and number of charging stations, (price as well.).

ParticipantIf your a young childless single that 300sf will do for a year or two.
If you can afford the close in “suburb” that’s great, most cant, so they move out a little further until the jobs come to them, then they are the new close in suburb.
rinse and repeat
Put it this way, If you have a Kid, the last place you want to raise them is anywhere close to downtown.
You are looking for a place filled with soccer moms. Most people will have kids, step kids, adopted kids or even grand kids living at home at some point in their lives.
Very Few never have kids they are responsible for.

ParticipantThere are at least 15 new home tracts being started between Fallbrook and Corona along the I-15 right now.
While maybe not Rural, definitely suburban.

ParticipantWell You will have what you want LOL (be careful what you wish for however you may be one of the % paying for it).
I would like to get an electric car but IMO they are still too expensive and not ready for wide scale adoption.
(not enough charging stations, too long to charge etc…).

ParticipantShanghai China, customers stuffing their SUV’s to the gills
at Costco in the suburbs of Shanghai China.Costco (COST) cut the ribbon at its new store in Shanghai and proceeded to watch shoppers overrun the expansive aisles, as seen in numerous posts on Twitter. In fact, the crowds got so big that the store was forced to cut opening day short over safety worries, according to news reports. For Costco, the day one response — and the inevitable surge in new memberships — should temper concerns on Wall Street that its bulk-selling model wouldn’t work in the hyper local Chinese food market.

ParticipantI really do wish this trade war to come to some type of resolution (quickly).
( I still have hope LOL).
But if push comes to shove we (the USA) will win this.
