The-ShovelerParticipant
Plunge protection team may actually become a real thing.
“Should market conditions deteriorate, the Federal Reserve could venture into the stock market, several market analysts and economists said.”
Seems the FED made this a real thing today.
The-ShovelerParticipantIMO most the country will be open by the end of April.
Sun comes out and it gets warmer it is going to be a lot harder to keep people inside.
The-ShovelerParticipantIf I remember history correctly, the 1918 flu took the healthy more and left the old and feeble.
The-ShovelerParticipantSometimes the more healthy you are the worse it can be.
The body attacks itself in response to the virus.
“cytokines attack”
The-ShovelerParticipantSeems to be industrializing fairly fast to me, Carlsbad/Oceanside area is just going berserk with how fast they are growing their industrial base.
The-ShovelerParticipantBe careful what you say, you may be talking about yourself LOL.
The-ShovelerParticipant
I wonder the same thing regarding Temecula and Chula Vista. My conclusion is people really like their bigger houses and a 50min commute is acceptable.
Compared to the bay area where people would drive/commute 2hr plus into the penisula/silicon valley, 50min seems like nothing.
There are a lot of other reasons besides 50mi is acceptable,
1) How close to retirement
2) What will Temecula look like in 10,15 or 20 years, Carlsbad and Oceanside industrial base is growing very fast as well.
etc…The-ShovelerParticipantFrom what I understand, covid-19 is a taker of lives in all age groups except maybe the very young (people less than 20).
They should knock on wood.
The-ShovelerParticipantMaybe just a joke in bad taste.
Of course sometimes a “very” few can take it too far.
The-ShovelerParticipantImmunity tests
The first phase, on people living in hot spots begun after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted an emergency authorization for testing kits on April 1.
Once you know your immune why would you not go, me I would be the first one on the plane to Hawaii LOL.
The-ShovelerParticipant
It will be years before things return to a new “normal”.
IMO it will be a 1 or 2 months before most of the country is open.
Gets warm, people will just start going out no matter what.
The-ShovelerParticipantIf your employees (say qcom for example) get the immunity pass and can go back to work, that’s what matters.
Smaller stores ect.. should be able to afford it or gov should give it for free once enough tests are available.
The-ShovelerParticipantIn China I would say that the number and percent of people infected as well as recovered is drastically under counted.
I would say the USA infected as well as recovered is drastically under counted as well.
We need Anti-body tests soon.
The-ShovelerParticipantThe Wife and I have been taking fairly long walks (more like hikes in hilly terrain where we are) of about 2 or so miles since the lock-down (well when not raining at least).
