The-ShovelerParticipantAnother day another up day on wall street LOL
I don’t have FOMO (OK maybe a little) but I am actually much better off if the real economy takes off like a rocket even if I miss the rally.
The-ShovelerParticipantSeems Asia countries etc.. are starting to see second waves of the virus.
The-ShovelerParticipantMillennials are piling into stock trading to beat the market.
There are several articles for this, the Boomer part is just a sampling of friends (weird most of my older colleagues were completely out last Feb) and it is just what people do as they hit 60, they go 60-70% or more bonds etc…
The-ShovelerParticipantMillennials opening trading accounts like crazy during the covid-19 lock-down.
Most boomers are on sidelines at this point.

The-ShovelerParticipantIMO I think Rich is assuming it will not take “years” to get back to full employment and GDP.
BTW I hope he is correct, I could live with everything just taking off like a rocket.
The-ShovelerParticipantIMO either it eventually crashes or we become the worlds most generous socialist country that will last maybe a few years before we turn into Venezuela or Argentina.
The-ShovelerParticipant

Market just seem wrong somehow.
IMO seems we are just one missed stimulus or something from falling off an economic cliff but then again what do I know.
Not sure. I’m wondering if the people who were financially prepared to buy a house here pre-covid were really drastically different financially now. I suspect they probably weren’t really financially impacted by covid.
Maybe now even a little better, because they can now find a loan at even a lower rate.
Like I was saying before, I think SD probably has diversified somewhat from the standard tourism industry, unlike other places. And there’s a pretty large biotech presence here which probably is doing very well. Isn’t one of the major ventilator companies manufacturing in Escondido?
Maybe SD RE is doing better as Work at home renters ect.. join the escape LA crowd.

$7 stock to $19 in one day. It seems like people are going crazy over any company that is trying to introduce anything related to covid testing or a vaccine, even if it’s meritless.
Kinda like the early internet days when a brick and mortar mentioned a web site
LOL But this time it’s the millennials turn.
Seems to me it’s mostly the FANG stocks holding the indexes up.SPYD does not have these big names and it is still down 25-30% .
The-ShovelerParticipantThis Blog is only good when the world is burning, unless you want to debate the benefits of socialism LOL.
The-ShovelerParticipant“I have a feeling March-April was one of those once in a lifetime chances.”
It definitely was a good bounce ( I know a few who played it well).
Not sure it is over yet IMO.
Bought a little SPYD (Still down about 25% from high and paying about 6%), just enough to keep eye on, will buy more if market takes another dump which I still think is possible.
