I think some people like a Condo environment, some people want a house with a real yard and a big garage.
A lot of kids like riding on Jet Ski’s, a few like walking around a lake once in a while.
It’s a matter of taste I guess.
If you get a two story home with dual zone Air, Just using the Down stairs Air make a lot of difference , If you have a one story, you got no choice but to try to cool the roof where the sun is hitting it.
Good luck.

I think we will be lucky to see 2003 prices myself, the
“421K at 3700 sq ft” price seems like a mid/early 2004 price.Anyway that was not the reason for the post,
In that area (French valley) I think won’t seem so far out in the boonies once the Super Target Mall area and Home Depot are built and Clinton Keith in completed.
But maybe not still as nice as the Harveston tract if you can get close to the same price/SQF .
Hard to say what will happen for sure, Don’t think the Government will let a recession happen at any cost myself.
Too much at stake (pensions/Banks etc..).

What would happen if the Builders reset the prices back to 2003/early 2004 in a few months time frame and then resume more normal price appreciation 5% to 8% a year.
This I think would be in everyone best interest,
Not likely I know but seeing what the builders have been doing in Riverside and SCV the last few weeks hmmm Maybe ???

Don’t know much about “Glendale/Burbank/La Canada”,
But SCV seems to be falling fast.

Me I got a little over 10% in stocks (Not counting my 401K),
All this private LBO stuff really muddies the waters. Can’t figure whats going to happen next.I guess they can’t throw credit at housing anymore so they throw it at stocks.
My true feelings are that the Government knows it cannot afford a true recession and will do anything (ANYTHING!!) to avoid it.
Between the bank bail outs and pensions going belly up.
What a mess.
Well good luck to you !!
