ParticipantI actually bought (a small amount) Etrade stock yesterday at 12.87 (could have done better but hey I am up today !!),
JMO but I think they will be OK .

There is still the basic problem here, It takes about 250K a year income to buy a 600K – 800K house if you ever plan on paying it off anyway. (unless you bring a lot $ to the table of course).
No amount of band aids is going to change that.
20% raises anyone ????

Our CD had just Matured, But there may be others who just want out anyway they can get, (If FDIC then I would wait until the CD Matured, unless you had over the 100K per SSN in there).

Yea We have a FDIC CD with Countrywide Bank,
My wife was on the phone trying to get our money out anyway,
Took all day to get through, seems they are having a bit of a run on the bank.
