Need something like this and a two story garage to put it in.
Now just need to convince the wife we need it.
The-ShovelerParticipant“hydraulic lift at home”
Yep top of my wish list too.
To be honest retirement scares the crap out of me.
The-ShovelerParticipantSeriously?
We have a few engineers in Guadalajara but they don’t seem interested in immigrating (but really never asked the so don’t know).
Also agree bingo nights would be much more productive use of the HOA’s board members time LOL.
The-ShovelerParticipantMemento mori,
The only problem I have with the passage of time LOL.
I keep hopping that issue gets solved.
But I kind of like Einstein’s block time where each instance in time exists eternally. so you kind of always existed/exist somewhere in block time.
The-ShovelerParticipantI keep seeing article after article on yahoo saying “signs housing market is cooling”, then the next day I see another article that says “US home prices soar at record pace in June”
https://www.yahoo.com/news/us-home-prices-soar-record-130033292.html
The-ShovelerParticipantI actually sold all stocks in February 2020 before the crash last year, but did not take advantage fully and buy in at bottom, ( I did go about 25% in at or near the bottom though), and the added anther 25% in a high dividend ETF later so probably got close to 50% (with market timing LOL, but it was mostly pure luck).
The-ShovelerParticipantIMO What is happening in Carlsbad is spreading north and east very quickly.
Oceanside coastal area is almost completely unrecognizable from a few years earlier.The-ShovelerParticipantEscape LA is a real thing, probably SF as well.
The-ShovelerParticipantLAUSD is threating to lock down again, not sure if that applies to UC schools or not, but it looks like LAUSD may go back to remote learning.
The-ShovelerParticipantIMO Even California has flipped several times from blue to red and back again. Would not surprise me too much to see if flip again someday. Not every republican is white as well.
The-ShovelerParticipantI paid $3.95 a gal at Temecula Costco yesterday (for 87).

When I tell my hot wife to just lie on the floor with me and skip the a/c she is generally unamused.[/quote]
Yea My wife’s hot too !!
Oh wait we’re talking about AC
The-ShovelerParticipantIMO having second homes in other states just becomes a maintenance nightmare (especially someplace with extreme weather like VT).
Better just get a month or two rental maybe at least at first.
The-ShovelerParticipantIMO the FED and the powers that be cannot afford to let the everything bubble crash and will do whatever it takes to not let it crash.
Can it be done? not sure but look at China, what’s it been 35 years or more LOL.
But maybe I am wrong.
