after you bore of this fasting novelty, you should crowdsource your next passionate-but-fleeting health fad with a quick survey here on piggington. I’d vote for you trying out daily ice baths for a month.
Would pair nicely with your new sauna. 😉tb

dunno, but stick a nipple on it and no-one’s complaining.tb
woke correction: no gynosexual is complaining.
teaboyParticipant
The property is in the back counrty area of San Diego. I have tried Lemonade as well, and they said they won’t cover in that area. So far the only option is to have two policies, California Fair Plan bundled with a “wrap-around” policy, and it would cost ten times what we pay for our primary home!
Ok, but then that is not driven just by the “very high fire risk”, since other homes in San Diego “very high fire risk” areas do get coverage.
If the “very high fire risk” is the reason you’re hearing for them denying you coverage, then that’s presumably just one of many factors influencing their decision.
Try hippo.com. I know mine went up 30% this year. Good luck!

teaboyParticipantHow are you defining “high fire risk area”?

Not according to Elon Musk.

teaboyParticipantThat pretty much sums up how the democrats lose at politics. They place too much emphasis on delivering good and not enough on winning elections. Perhaps it could be said they have too much faith in the voting public, as a whole.
The republicans seem to know what they’re doing. The opposite of the above. 🙂

teaboyParticipant$10k seems like the sweet spot between:
Liberals & youngsters: that’s not enough!!
Conservatives & oldies: that’s bad for the deficit & inflation!!tb
teaboyParticipantYes, ice skating is super fun …as an annual or bi-annual event.

If you’re willing to pay $2M for a thingamabob, then 1% more is $2.02M. By your theory you’d thus be somewhat stingy not to be willing to pay $2.02M for it.
So, now you’d be willing to pay $2.02M for a thingamabob and, again, you’d thus be somewhat stingy not to be willing to pay $2.0402M for it.
So, now you’d be willing to $2.0402M for a thingamabob…Who sets the base at $2M? You do. But that was only shortly after you realized you were willing to pay $1.980198M for that thingamabob…

If you’d pay 1% more, then why not 2% more? If you’d pay 2% more, then why not 3% more, etc, etc, etc…
At some point you need to assess your BATNA, or draw a line somewhere, however arbitrary it may seem.
So, I reject your hypotheses, an & sdrealtor!
Amirite?
tband congrats on sealing the deal, gzz.
teaboyParticipantThanks for sharing all this, sdr!

teaboyParticipantI dont get why most home insurance companies are not 90% online already. So many times I go online to get a home insurance quote, spend 15 mins entering all my details, then instead of getting an instant quote it just says an agent will phone me to interrupt my day and bother me with more questions…
What’s so complicated about home insurance that it needs an agent every single time?Anyways, I use hippo.com, which is a mostly online insurance provider. They allow a deductible up to $25k, which I’ve found is often the easiest way to drop your premiums. At a $10k deductible, mine costs $790/year for a 2200sqft home in a high fire risk area.
