Interesting…
http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/11/politics/donald-trump-hillary-clinton-2016-election-turnout/index.html
Maybe the strategy is to discourage people from voting…..
“They are worried that a negative, race to the bottom with Trump could stifle turnout, arguing that it has become clear to them — especially over the last 48 hours — that Trump’s strategy is to run the race into “the sewer.”
The thought goes like this: Trump scorches Republicans, gets nastier with Clinton to the point that she has to respond, voters get turned off and decide that they’ve had enough with this election — so they don’t vote.”
Yeah, I’ve been a little worried about what will happen if the spread between Clinton and Trump gets too big. Those who would vote for Clinton may feel their vote isn’t needed and not vote. the Clinton fanatics and Trump fanatics will probably vote no matter what – probably those in the middle that are most at risk.
Other thing I found out yesterday: by election day, 40% of the votes will have already been turned in nationwide. In San Diego county that is even higher: mail-in ballots will account for 1M of the 1.5M votes that will be cast (67%).

Bunch of holier than thou type liberals posting on Facebook and going off on Public Radio, but failing to understand or delve into the fact that women say stuff like “if it were me, I would have cut his dick off” and ” hang him by his balls” and “kick him in the balls” “shove a stick up his ……
Uh, my wife has never ever said anything even remotely like that. Ever.
Nor have I ever said anything like Trump said. Ever.
I can say that for sure.
svelteParticipant
On women voters that Trump needs to win over… i wonder if women vote like their husbands or it is the other way around?
What are your experiences, married guys and gals?
For me, I wouldn’t want to have sex with someone i fundamentally disagreed with.
Just found this.

I’m sure every couple is different.
Some wives follow men’s lead, some men follow the wive’s lead. Some couples do their own thing at the ballot box. I can tell you we are in the do your own thing category. She’s very bright and makes good choices, as am I.
I can tell you that women tend to be more liberal and my wife often votes well to the left of me, especially on propositions.
svelteParticipantAs SK and I said prior, Trump’s words were not locker room talk:
http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/10/politics/locker-room-talk-athletes-respond-trnd/index.html
And Trump has admitted he lies. Either he lied on the bus to Billy Bush, or he lied in last night’s debate when he said he didn’t do the things he said to Billy Bush. Take your pic – either path leads to a lie.
svelteParticipantBest lines from reddit:
“Hey GOP – how does if feel to be forced to carry something unwanted to term?”
“Well that does it. I’m definitely not voting for Bill.”
“As a non-American this debate felt like whatever the opposite of the moon landing was.”
“Please stop this senseless beating, his campaign is already dead.”
“Donald’s answer was very clear on his sexual assault admission. ‘ISIS is much worse than me.’ ”
“If someone can get him to actually answer a question, they should be president.”
“To be fair though, he really doesn’t have any answers.”
“I said this in the thread and will say it again. I think the sniff is Trump’s tell. Right before he tells a whopper of a lie “sniff” then lie. Or maybe it is just everytime he opens his mouth is the the tell. I am trying to figure it out. ”
I have to start reading reddit more often. 🙂
svelteParticipant
Are you guys watching this actually?
I watched the first 15 min or so, then left it on in the b/g while I did other things around the house, checking in once in a while.
They said about what you’d expect them to say from the pieces I caught.
svelteParticipantMeh. Getting boring. Don’t think the debate will move the needle much.
svelteParticipantWooo! Trump just had a press conference with a panel of Bill accusers!
Looks to me like he has went all in! This should be a very interesting evening, that’s for sure.
The big question is: will this hurt him further or neutralize the swirl around his own behavior!
Seems to me like “your husband did it too” is very elementary school and not likely to go over well, but we shall see…
svelteParticipant
His strongest supporters are beyond any rational thought proccess and beyond thinking as a rational humans. Its all driven by emotion, anger, hate, frustration, and anything that is anti establishment no matter how crude, how vulgar, how reprehensible is what is turning out to be. Its not just the u.s., its Russia, UK, Philippines, and evrn informant where Merkel is losing popularity.
You cannot explain, rationalize, or persuade these folks even if Trump was Satan himself. It’s sad actually.
We are approaching very dark times I am afraid.
Watching this election cycle has convinced me that there is a sizeable part of the population who will vote Rep no matter what, and a certain sizeable part of the population who will vote Dem no matter what. That is their brand and they will be loyal to it…no matter what.
What many elections come down to, especially this one, is to get as many of the fence sitters and independents as possible. The side most successful at doing that wins.
With the events of the last week, I’m not sure I see a path forward for the Trump. He’s virtually locked out most of the women that are fence sitters or independents, having already done that with Hispanics, Muslims, and a host of other segments of the population.
I think this debate is his last chance. If he doesn’t do something spectacular (and I really can’t imagine what that would be), the race is over. If I were Hillary and Trumps polling numbers continue downward after tonight, I would probably cancel the third debate. There would be no reason to hold it.

Because Trump is running today, people are judging his past actions by today’s standards.
Ten years ago is hardly the ancient past. People are judging his actions ten years ago with the same standards that hold true today.
svelteParticipantShould have expected it – you’ve chosen hypocrite!
Trump said he did it – why shouldn’t we believe him? He said he did it regularly!!!
You’re believing other women who have said Bill did this or that, but when Trump says he himself has made unwelcome contact with women, you say he’s just joking! My God!
You are indeed a hypocrite.

FIH, my opinion on Hill’s fitness for POTUS has nothing to do with “’til death do us part” or even whether Bill and Hill had an agreement to have an open marriage from day one. I don’t even care about that. It’s based upon all the public humiliation over decades that she CHOSE to repeatedly suffer at the hands of Bill and the adverse effect it had on her in every way, shape and form.
Well now. You’ve supported Trump because, in your words above, you can’t support someone who let themselves be humiliated repeatedly. again, your words, I don’t agree with the humiliated label.
If that is so, then how on earth can you support someone who does the humiliating? See SK’s quote below.
Trump admits he is hitting on a woman he knows to be married, while his own wife his pregnant! And fingering women, while is wife is pregnant, because he knows he can get away with it! Come on BG, you either have to quit supporting Trump right now or have yourself labeled as the biggest hypocrite ever.
svelte, you’re more naïve than anyone here would have thought you to be if you actually think all this “locker room talk” represents the actual experience of the speaker, lol…
If you don’t understand the difference between words (especially those said in a joking manner by Donald Trump in an “entertainment industry setting”) and actions (such as those many egregious lewd offenses against women Bill Clinton committed over ~22 years and those criminal and slanderous attacks on women Hillary Clinton committed in the same time frame and after), then I can’t help you and neither than anyone else. You’re beyond help :=0
svelteParticipantThis is a great article…he’s on the ropes now:

Love the last sentence! I think it sums it up nicely…
svelteParticipant
Pence schedule reportedly removed from Trump website…
Nope, still there.
https://www.donaldjtrump.com/schedule/
Where are you getting your info?
Would be super if true, but I’m skeptical…
