svelteParticipantFor as much as those Trash Out employees are probably making, they should arrive at work in a pickup everday and load it to the brim with stuff to haul home each night. Each weekend, they should have a yard sale!! You can bet that big screen didn’t end up in the landfill.
They could probably double their income that way.
Great video, Kev…thanks for bringing it to our attention.
This is a very strange place we find ourselves in as a country. I’ve never seen anything like it before. Very strange indeed.

svelteParticipant“You have to have a command of the English language or you’re just nowhere. I mean like…say you get out of college or whatever…you’re gonna go into business, you’re gonna open a bank just for an example. You’ve got to give it the right name. It’s gotta be something big and strong like Security First Trust and Federal Reserve. And you have to name a bank that because nobody’s gonna put their money in Fred’s Bank. ‘Hi, I’m Fred, I have a bank. You got $1500? Ahhh, I’ll put it here…in my white suit'”

Just to lighten the thread a bit. My point? Just because you run Security First Trust and Federal Reserve doesn’t mean you know any more about managing money than, say, Fred. You just have better command of the English language.
In fact, at this point in time, I bet Fred has lost less of his investor’s money than most large banks.

svelteParticipantThis reminds me of what made us decide to buy our first place about 20 yrs ago.
We were living in MM and the landlord announced the apt rent was going from $700 to 900, or something nuts like that. That was it, we went out home shopping and bought a condo within a month. That was the best decision we ever made (aside from having our kids :)) and it helped boot-strap us into our current home.
Thank you, landlord, for so clearly showing us the right direction!
ps – they ended up canceling the rent increase due to a renters revolt like you wouldn’t believe.
