Republicans are the least patriotic people I have ever met – Russian lovers and tread on the constitution.
The odd part is the Republicans I know were extreme Russian haters for decades…decades! Then when their papa bear embraced the Russian bear they fell silent on the topic.
If I had not lived through the last four years, I never would have believed it. The pack mentality I guess.
svelteParticipantOh I’ve went for walks in the park, bought groceries, and when allowed out to dinner on Fri nights. Not what I would call social interaction though.
svelteParticipant
For what it’s worth, I actually missed increased human interaction. I took an in-person “essential” contract job by choice over the summer, while taking as many precautions as I could.
I agree with you. I’m not an overly social person but I love occasional interaction and if nothing else people watching. Can’t do any of that from home.
On the flip side, it has always been that if I spend three days at home without going out a sort of minor paranoia sets in, but I’ve been able to go a week or more without even leaving the house and do just fine now. Perhaps it is because I know everybody is in the same boat? Not sure. But that bunker mentality has not hit me yet.
I can tell you this much. I’m very glad we bought a big house with a nice back yard. That has helped tremendously…gives us each our own space and a change of scenery, even if it is just moving from room to room. We haven’t irritated each other yet. I think the dog helps take the edge off too. She’s always doing something!
svelteParticipantFeels like a continuation of the bifurcation of America into the haves and have nots. Not through anyone’s intention, but the pandemic has sure made that divide much sharper.
Those who must interact directly with the public for a living, which is typically the lower paying positions anyway, have really taken a hard hit.
This article shocked me. First time I have heard talk of a 2022 ending to all of this:
svelteParticipantHappy Holidays sdr. Thanks for the reports from the trenches.
svelteParticipantWith well-known political candidates, it will be hard to come up with an original t-shirt and harder yet to sell more than a handful. Too much existing competition.
The first rule of thumb when getting a trademark: don’t bother getting one unless you have the money to defend it. Otherwise you’ve just thrown your money away.
svelteParticipant

You know, this Trump thing isnt going away after Biden assumes the presidency. Trump isn’t really a Republican, but he’s managed to pull off “cult status”.
There’s got to be ways to exploit his cult status and make money off of these idiotic people ….
Absolutely. Except for the “loser” label part I think he would actually prefer not to be president so he can hit the links and have more freedom while still controlling his followers like puppets.
Interesting dynamics – by saying he’ll run in 2024, he’s basically locked out most if not all other GOP contenders because his minions will attack them like traitors if they do any prep work at all for a 2024 run.
Brainstorming a few t-shirt and baseball cap designs..A few questions though..
1.Where is a good place to get tshirts and caps printed at wholesale cost? I think $20-22 is probably how much people would be willing to pay for a trump 2024 t-shirt or cap.
2. What’s the best way to reach the trumpster audience to get them to buy? I’m thinking first hitting the Facebook trump groups….
I usually have t-shirts printed by these sites:
They offer baseball cap printing also.

svelteParticipantOK. This is just too bizarre not to mention.
Trump’s top lawyer, head of his legal team, on TV sweating profusely, eyes bulging, hair dye running down his face.
This is what has become of the Trump Fiasco.
Truly amazing stuff.
svelteParticipantWhat’s wrong with just using JB Weld?
When my son was in college and worked in a music hall setting up equipment for musicians, he said they used JB Weld all the time.
I didn’t know about it until I was putting together a Cozy Coupe child’s car and the parts were severely deformed. Instead of taking it back to the store, he whipped out some JB Weld and glued the top to the body. It held up all the years of use after that.
svelteParticipantWhile rates had already been dropping, the pill helped that trend line become a steeper decline.
I believe the pill began widespread use in 1959.

svelteParticipantYeah I’ve looked at those. I don’t know why I’m not convinced those little things will work. I’m sure not gonna test it on my windows!
But I don’t want to carry a massive hammer either.
Thus the dilemma that leads me to indecision and inaction.
svelteParticipantI don’t see how Rich’s data will prove how prop 19 affected housing prices. Rich’s data shows how housing prices change with time, but there is no way for it to figure out how different parameters affected them.
Agree with sd that it will have minimal impact. Many – most? – of the seniors I have known in California moved when they retired anyway. I think seniors are more apt not to move if they live in the midwest from my experience.
svelteParticipantI decided that I would start carrying a hammer in my newer cars but have not done so yet. Thanks for the reminder.
One of my great fears is being trapped in a car that is on fire, under water, etc…
