Participant

. . . The US does not have an open border. The US has never had an open border. I can’t think of a single elected official, or any significant candidate who has proposed an open border. And the net undocumented population has remained pretty constant over the last 7 years. It’s the same size now as it was in 2008. If there was an open border, there would be more.
It’s “open enough” to allow Mexicans and Americans alike to cross back and forth daily (to drive their kids to school in the US or drive to school in the US (for a teenaged driver).
SK, did your kids attend public school in the “other CV?” That is …. in Carmel Valley (SD)? You know … the CV which is ~30 miles from the border? And if so, did THEIR SCHOOLS have dozens or even hundreds of Mexican-citizen students who crossed the border every morning to attend it?
How far away do you currently reside from an AZ/MX int’l border crossing gate? 150-200 miles, perhaps?
What you know and can tell us about the habits of daily (northbound in the morning) “border crossers” would likely fit neatly into a thimble.
My kids attended public school. Some of the other students weren’t US citizens. Some were undocumented. I don’t know the actual number, and I’m pretty sure any of the numbers from you are a huge exaggeration. Because that’s what you do.
I don’t know what any of the other questions have to do with the discussion. You don’t like Mexicans coming across the border, legally or otherwise. I get that. You don’t have to. You can move.
It wasn’t significantly different when I was in elementary school. The kids in SY and IB schools mostly spoke Spanish.
I spent a lot of weekends down there. My sister’s former in-laws grew up there, though only 1 of 6 kids was born in the US. The others would be dreamers today. 4 of the 6 have degrees. One of them an assistant US attorney, now retired. One a retired college professor. Of the 6, I’m pretty sure only my brother in law was ever in jail (for selling dope, 6 months, around 1970). He’s retired now. Built about 2,000 homes in so cal over the last 40 years. One delivers mail in Coronado., she’s retiring next year. The youngest, the only US born child, has been running an after-school program for ESL kids in IB for 25 years. Their father, Miguel, died right about the same time my father died, around 1990. His car still had Baja plates on it, because it was registered in Mexico. He lived in IB, but worked as a cook in a restaurant in Tijuana, drove back and forth every work day from when he moved his family to IB in 1955 after his 5th child was born, until he died 35 years later. And that kid that was born in 1955? I don’t see him much anymore. He’s works 9 months a year with doctors without borders, since he retired after 30 as a officer with the USN after they put him through medical school. He was born a few months before me in 1955. In Tijuana. He was technically and illegal alien until a month before he earned his MD in the early 80’s. It was a Reagan thing. Now he’s a US citizen.
So all those kids that you hate, that were in your kids, and continue in classrooms today? I know some of those kids. I wish my kids had more like them in their classrooms.

Participant
However, I do agree with Trump that the US needs to vet people from predominantly Muslim countries who are seeking visas into the country (for whatever reason) much more thoroughly than they have in the past.
Trump has said, on numerous occasions, that he would ban all muslims from entering the country. No exceptions. Vetting wasn’t a requirement. Not even an exception for US citizens who left and tried to return. Now, he’s both walked some of these comments back, but then repeated them again. What you have described is not what he supports. Do you have any idea, btw, how long it takes to get a visa from most middle east countries? Do you have any idea what the vetting process is like now?
It’s pretty clear here than many parents on this board are hopelessly out of touch as to the effects our “open border” has on CA citizens, taxpayers, the state and all its subdivisions.
BTW, if you hate brown people so badly, why don’t you move where you can find more white people like you?

Participant
I am still waiting for an answer to a previous question from the Trump faction.
How would have banning all people that look middle eastern from being in the US, or racially profiling people that look middle eastern….could have prevented the murder of Christina Grimmie in Orlando on the same weekend, when the deranged gunman, Kevin James Loibl, was an American born citizen that happens to be (for the lack of better words to describe him) caucasian
????????
Let’s not really talk about things like better gun control or waiting periods… let’s just focus on the low hanging fruit of identifying who we perceive as bad simply by paint by color. Lol.
In the same way, well shit if some of us can’t get into college , let’s do the paint by color again and ban all the Asians who all obviously cheated their way into and admissions spot. While we are at it, let’s come up with a systematic way that makes it extremely difficult for them to get it, while not putting the same criteria for everyone else…..
And, yes it’s true…not every trump supporter probably has a axe to grind with all specific ethnicity/race/etc mentioned above. But it does seem that most trump supporter has at least one axe to grind with at least one race/ethnicity/etc. Some have problems with Latinos, some have problems with middle easterners, some have problems with Asians. And some have problems with any or all of the above. Its probably the one reason why there is any unification under the Trump umbrella. Hate.
I kept waiting and waiting….wondering if you were actually going to hit the target. And you did. Head on.
Hate.
I don’t really remember much about Christina Grimmie, but I do watch the voice. At the time I may have noticed her, but she turned into one pretty young woman with a great voice, and I forgot her. Her death was notable in my home because both my wife and I watch the voice, and my wife is from Orlando. She knows the place where the young lady was killed. The victim of another hateful act.
And just a day later, another hateful act took 50 lives. Not like the attack in Tel Aviv a few days earlier. Not like Paris or Brussels or Istanbul. In fact, nothing like them. A hateful man, who hated gays attacked 300 people in a nightclub. And politicians were quick to blame it on muslims. That hasty decision, racist on it’s face, was dead wrong. It had nothing to do with Isis, nothing to do with Islam, radical or otherwise. It had only to do with hate. Hate that is approved of, vindicated, and sanctioned every day in this country.
While politicians mostly ignored the hate, and went on to find solutions to terrorism, solutions to gun control, pointing fingers at who was responsible and who predicted it would happen, they almost all ignored what happened. A gay nightclub with 300 people inside was attacked on latin night. For the sole reason that it was a gay night club. And the guy who did the attacking thought gays should be dead. His father taught him that. His religion taught him that. As Christian preachers over and over again have taught the exact same thing.
As more than 100 laws in the last 6 months have been proposed limiting, eliminating, and dismissing the rights of the LGBT community, that hate has been vindicated over and over again. There are way too many people in this country who approve of that hate. And every single one of them bears responsibility for Orlando.
And Trump pats himself on the back for being right, when he couldn’t have been more wrong, he’ll press ahead and ban Muslims. And then ban Mosques. And next is going to be the Mexicans because Muslims cross over the Mexican border. And pretty soon it will be the Chinese because of their currency manipulation or some other thing that he doesn’t really understand, but it sounds good enough to whip up hate. And then it will be every other Asian population, because how can you tell where they’re from, they use chop sticks. And eventually he’ll get around to the Jewish bankers. Because they always do.
All because it’s so much easier to blame an outside enemy than one on the inside.
Hate.
We have all we need.

Is that what you fantasize about? Imagining you’re busting people up in online discussion groups? Grab a tissue dude. Your load is shot and it couldn’t even hit the screen. Trump guy, aren’t you?
Damn. You mad. Sorry your bff is racist.
Not mad. Sad that stupidity doesn’t hurt more. I don’t have a bff here. Trump’s your guy. Check the mirror before you call people racist.

Participant
Again, there’s no shame in simply saying you no longer feel the quotes by FIH are racist. It’s ok. But if Trump said that same shit, you’d be screaming racism from the rooftops. You’re either a fraud, a hypocrite, or both.
There’s no shame in simply acknowledging you’re a dick. You’ve proved it over and over in this thread. Why don’t you just admit it? You’re a dick. You know that, right?

What was the question? Keep your story straight. You don’t recall what you posted on this site a scant week or so ago? You’re not very good at this.
If you simply had a change of heart about what you posted, it’s fine to admit that.
Wait…you answered a question, and you don’t even know what the question was? No wonder your answer made no sense.
No change of heart about anything.

Even odder that you actually think Donald Trump isn’t, even when leaders of his own party acknowledge that he is.
Please find anywhere on this entire forum where I said Trump wasn’t racist. Beats me. But if you agree with FIH’s definition of “racist”, then you both would not consider him a racist.
No. I’m done with you. You may be following your conversation perfectly. I’m not.
LOL. I just provided everything you asked for. Now crickets. That’s what I thought.
No, you didn’t. You provided quotes. I have no idea who said some of them, or when, or in response to what. I’m sure it made perfect sense to you. I can’t follow it. Nor do I have any interest in doing so.
Wow. You asked for the words. So I gave them to you. Once presented with them, some of which were yours . . . You claim ignorance. Got it.
F Off. Seriously. I’m not claiming ignorance. I’m claiming you can’t clearly explain what you’re talking about. I asked you a simple question. You couldn’t provide a direct response. That’s not my ignorance. That’s yours.

Participant
Just so there’s no confusion later: It is your contention that you, in fact, didn’t call FIH a racist? Based both on a quote of his I pointed out, as well as a quote of his you pointed out?
And, it is also your contention that I attributed a quote to FIH that you now claim were never made by him? In other words, you are claiming I am dishonest?
As for Donald Trump, I have no idea if he is a racist. But by FIH’s own definition, he is not. Trump has never claimed white people are superior or any other race is inferior. I don’t ascribe to that definition. FIH does.
Just to make things clear, both contentions that you attributed to me are false. I have no recollection of you ever quoting the words that you claim are racist. I’m quite sure you haven’t anytime recently in this thread. And I never claimed that you attributed a quote to him that I claimed wasn’t made by him. This really isn’t about you. It’s about your claim that he said something racist. I have no idea what those words are. You could fix this by quoting him. You haven’t done it since I asked you to.
And you have no idea whether Donald Trump is racist? All I can do is shake my head.

I’m glad you find your blatant racism funny. But no, it’s very FIHian. Posting whatever you want with no support for it. Just your continual regurgitation of the same political nonsense.
Quote his racist words. Your shit really doesn’t make any sense at all.
I already did. Twice. Hell, you even agreed he was racist and quoted a racist post yourself. Did you forget?
Now you seem to be bothered that I call him what you already concluded he is. That’s odd.
No, I’m bothered by the fact that you can’t actually find the words. It turned out the words I thought were from him, weren’t. Now, I find it odd that you can’t find his words you consider racist.
Even odder that you actually think Donald Trump isn’t, even when leaders of his own party acknowledge that he is.
