Homes were built in the mid 80’s. range from a 3/2 1 story 1600 sq ft, to 3/2.5 2 story 1800 sq ft to 4/2.5 2 story 2000 sq ft to 4/2.5 2300 sq ft 2 story. Kids go to Flora Vista elementary and Diegueno jr high both walking distance or a short drive. there are a couple other neighborhoods nearby including Summerhill (twin homes of nice size with yards) that are good rental options also.

ParticipantI live and work in this area. The closest thing to which you describe is Fieldstone in Encinitas. Right now a great deal on a 4BR with about 2200 sq ft would still sell in the low to mid 600’s with some luck. 500 seems very unlikely by the end of this year and IMO would take reaching a bottom in another 2 years or so.
