ParticipantI guess I should tell that to the new client that was just I met with today who has $250,000 cash to put down. He seemed happy that rates on loans he was looking at had just fallen about 2%. oh well, I guess he must be the only the one.
There are all of 8 homes in the San dieguito school district (Encinitas/So carlsbad) with at least 2400 sq ft and 4br’s under 850,000. I guess it wont matter to them or the relo buyers that will be scrambling for something like that either.

You are not the world. There are people (plenty of people) whom this will benefit. I never said it would dramatically change the market or increase demand tenfold. However, in my area (NCC) the market has been stuck and very slow at a time of year when it usually isnt relative to other times of the year. Some of this was due to 8%+ jumbo mortgage rates. if you dont think this will greatly benefit some folks you are sadly mistaken. How much and how many is unknown and what I wonder about. We will soon see.sdr
