This is an interesting thread as I am contemplating what sort of schooling is in my Kid’s best interest. He is currently going to MBMA second grade. He is very advanced in math and a self learner, has photographic memory and advanced in piano due to perfect pitch. Never had to put him in any special class due to his natural ability to learn.

Should I even consider moving him to public school if he’ll get into Gate Seminar program or just continue the private school path?

The commute is hard and it would be nice to save the money on schooling, but I do not want to compromise on his learning curve.

Yes, all the 4 households were VA loans that foreclosed. Their repurchase was VA too, they are refinancing it. I do not qualify for VA or FHA loans, bought my primary property with > 33% down on a jumbo loan at a low interest rate and having to listen to these VA loan folks discuss a down payment of $1500.

You verbalized the root reason for my post very well CA renter. That is exactly my frustration. I dont know if the financially responsible ones will come out the winners, just cause the govt and tax laws encourage a debt ridden society.

Very true SD Realtor. I have been searching for 1-1/2 years. Inventory is pretty tight now. PPSF is ridiculously high. Properties BOMK are raising their asking price by 30 to 50K. Last year I thought prices may still come down on some locations, but the whole situation just exploded in my face. Now, I really regret not closing on a home in mid 2012.
