ParticipantRustico, I was following surveyors comment of Americans not reading. My response was a bit longer perhaps even lucid, alas it was lost when I tried to preview and save it for some reason.
I’m not going to bother to re-submit it.
Together, reading history and knowing latin only matters if one is reading history in latin. Anyway the part of “to think” was actually to “think for themselves”.
I concur about thinking beyond ones own biases, it’s a topic I’ve raised here occasionally in the few times I felt compelled to post.
However, it is possible to do so, if one truly wants to attempt intellectual integrity. Sadly, many are too lazy or too fearful of doing so.
