ParticipantAs usual, comments and judgements are rushed to with not enough information, this is directed primarily to blue_sky.
If you look at Obamas “blueprint” for his administrations policies well, two points are glaring (for those who choose to exercise intellectual integrity) more government control over the citizenry and more taxes.
Anyone see the bill he is currently sponsoring with Hagel? http://obama.senate.gov/press/071211-obama_hagel_can/. How is that justifiable given the circumstances in our own country?

ParticipantThere really isn’t a “massive shortage” of petroleum and nuclear engineers in the US. Compared to other engineering disciplines there are significantly less – that would be an accurate statement.
I would imagine if we started expanding the nuclear industry you would see more balance.
Comparing China and U.S development and maintenence of infrastructure? Apples and Oranges for a myriad of reasons.
The article on Kiplinger is somewhat incomplete, meaning, the writer left some significant details out that would impact profitability. Any ideas as to one?
I can appreciate the diatribe between the end of the first sentence and to what should be the beginning of the last paragraph though.

ParticipantMarion, against my better judgement I’m going to ask, What exactly falls under “saying something bad about Obama”?
I only ask as it becomes more apparent (qualify that, apparent to me) that any type of question about Obama is “saying something bad” about the man.I’ve following this thread a bit, as some of the opinions are…. fascinating, but beyond the entertainment aspect there isn’t much of educational value to be gleaned from it, on any of the topics you listed. Educated should never be confused with intelligent.
From your comment, I’d encourage you to join in by utilizing the socratic method, you’re fully capable of it.
