ParticipantI think a property can only go through a trust transfer one time without a change in basis. Not 100% sure if I remember that correctly.

ParticipantI have always wondered if you couldn’t use a corporation to avoid the property tax increase.
Use a corporation to buy the house, then instead of selling the house at an increased basis, sell the corporation to the new owner.
I have always assumed something in the law prevents this, but always wondered.

ParticipantI went to a free seminar held by a lawyer and it was excellent. Little pressure to buy and super informative. If you buy the package that night, they give you a discount. That’s about all the pressure you get.
There was a fixed price to put together the whole trust/will package. $1300 or so, I think. So, little chance of them milking you to death.
Before signing, I asked my corporate attorney if he had any dirt on these guys. He knew of them and said they were highly reputable. Our experience was simple and straightforward.

Whether you use them to do the paperwork or not, I highly recommend the seminar.
