    I have always wondered if you couldn’t use a corporation to avoid the property tax increase.

    Use a corporation to buy the house, then instead of selling the house at an increased basis, sell the corporation to the new owner.

    I have always assumed something in the law prevents this, but always wondered.

    I think a property can only go through a trust transfer one time without a change in basis. Not 100% sure if I remember that correctly.

    Real estate is a mature Field, very few legal changes have occurred here.

    Clever Tactics in a mature field is usually ILLEGAL or UNWISE.

    Remember mortgages?

    That was a mature field, sleepy, old school.

    Then Some Weisenheimer got the idea to aggregate and resell mortgage paper.

    How Smart was that?
