Participant
In real life, what is the ratio of managers to employees? Numerically, do all creative people have a chance to become well-paid managers?
I used the term “creative” not in reference to a managerial position, but as a nod to positions that are design-related instead of implementation-related.

Participant
… and imagine putting them next to those wonderful attributes you mentioned they all supposedly have because they were not damaged by their non-asian parents. I can only shake my head.
Again with putting words in my mouth.
I never said they all have these attributes. I said – if you only focus on technical education, you won’t develop these skills.

Participant
The hyperthetical “asian” in your example WILL have a much lower chance EVEN if he has all those people skills.
Agree with you on this, but the fact is the DON’T have the people skills because of the focus of their education.

Participant
On the other hand, look around, how many of your main stream non-asian managers are “creative” and “good with people”. Give me a break.
Please make sure you don’t put words in my mouth. I never said “good with people”
In addition to creative, I said
“who knows how to get others to work hard”,
“to secure funding for a project”
“manage others ”
“social”
“friendly”
“persuasive”
“tactful”Those are all specific skills you don’t learn by tucking yourself in a corner.
