Maybe you mean something else, but in my case, who am I even going to personalize things with? We’ve got the bank and two realtors. I suppose I could get pissed at my realtor, but the things I don’t like aren’t in his control either.

Again, I don’t know what the right alternative is, but it just seems like there should be a touch more transparency. I’ll try to think about that though and determine what, if anything, would have really helped me. It certainly doesn’t seem like the biggest transaction of most people’s lives should be a blind auction.

sdrealtor, I’m not exactly sure what the better system is, but “best and final” has me feeling completely used and bitter and I am looking to exact my pound of flesh. And I felt that way before you said anything (but captured beautifully).

The awesome double whammy for me is being an REO, I won’t even be able to demand much flesh, will I?

This turned out to be a good thing because they were only moving across the street after which we became not only neighbors, but good friends.
