SD TransplantParticipantWhat’s most disturbing is that on any list/ compilation of top job losses I see most of our clients. It is just a matter of time before that hits us……I know March 30th (fiscal year end)will bring a lot more suprises.
I tell yout this……..JOBS is it…..nothing else matters right now. I hate to say it again but folk that talk about HOUSING as investment seems to me that did not experience true fiscal pain yet. If this mess/recession doesn’t theach us a thing or two – it means we have ways to go yet.
THIS IS THE TOUGHEST ECONOMIC ENVIRONMENT SINCE THE GREAT DEPRESSION……I haven’t seen housing drop to 2000 levels yet or 1983 for that matter…..so keep your minds open

SD TransplantParticipantThis is a timely post since I’ve had a conversation with a friend this weekend that complained about the same issues. 2 people household (1 adult & 1 toddler) + 2 dogs.
About 6,300 sqf house…….
Just talking about how the average SDG&E bill is $600/month and the H2O is about $400/month.I have another friend N of the 56….house about 5400 sqf and the SDG&E bill is about $1,000/month (they have a jacuzzi that’s being used plus several outdoor/yard lights)…
I guess McMansions = McBills 🙂
Note: all were talking about being frugal/conservative in their usage to “save”….

SD TransplantParticipantTG,
Alien is a term use to cover immigrants (unfortunately an incomplete description of their status). If they are “legal” aliens (Green card holders & some other status) this is as legit as you can imagine (they pay taxes, they are qualified to be here, they just don’t VOTE or travel with an US Passport)…
Riddle me this……Today, a new program is all over in the Easter European press to provide incentive to the wealthy to receive “legal alien” US status (aka. green card) if they invest in RE (I believe min of $1.0 million)…… This is nothing new, but with the economic condition I wonder if the $ limits change
