ParticipantI think there are several neighborhoods that may be suitable for the original poster. Without knowing other factors such as commute and more about personal taste I think making a blanket statement like this community or that community would be best is foolhearty.
UC is a great place and I like it alot. It is serviced by SDUSD. The thing I didnt like about the homes are the lot sizes. The thing I would love about it is the commute. My brother lived there and raised his son there.
I am of course partial to Scripps as well. There is a much larger diversity of housing there with respect to size of the home as well as lot sizes. It is a great place to raise kids as is UC. You have Old Scripps, you have Stonebridge with new homes, you have the homes along Spring Canyon that are newer, there is alot to choose from. The commute is not great.
Of course there is PQ and 4S Ranch. Obviously you seem to know all the newer developments in CV as well. CV is also nice commute wise unless you are out towards the eastern part of it… still it is not to bad.
Again, hard to give an opinion on what works for you because I don’t know what you REALLY want.

ParticipantOh man… so many tough questions…
Allan rooting for the aiders for me is about as painful as agreeing with Brian… In the above post Brian is absolutely correct and a week from this coming Sunday I will be the biggest raider fan around. I really want the conundrum of the chiefs losing this week and the raiders winning this week so all 3 teams have a shot at the division title next week.
I fear the chiefs winning this week and then Al Davis going, who do I hate more, the Spanos family or the Hunt family. I fear it is the former and Al will tell coach Tom to call off the dogs and roll over.
In all honesty the chargers don’t deserve to be in the playoffs. The special teams still suck and the gm is an old leather shoe who doesnt want to pay the best receiver in the game.

Great post about the stadium… Declaring bankruptcy is a formality though right? I mean the city has been bankrupt for years and years. I would say get the stadium done first then do the declaration.
I would rather be broke and have a football team then be broke and not have a football team.
