ParticipantI think that if anything is learned from this lawsuit it is that buyers should beware when they choose to work directly through a listing agent. I think that for buyers who are savvy and know what is going on then there may be some benefit as they can potentially try to gain position in a competitive bidding process. However if you are assuming your representation is going to be top notch then that is an incorrect assumption.

ParticipantMy answer is so what. The agent was lame and deserves what is coming to them. As I have said before a properly done PR will answer all those questions regarding liens and encumbrances. Agents do find this stuff out before the buyer spends a penny. Agents do ask their clients about this stuff when they take the listing. Any agent worth their salt already knows all of this information.
Don’t try to take one case and make it sound like the norm because it is not the norm. We have already been through this. You are sensationalizing and anamoly.

ParticipantThis is almost laughable.
My two boys go through a gallon of milk in about 4 days. They power through a dozen eggs in the same time. In short they are eating machines. Meat, vegetables, fruit, rice, beans… if it doesn’t run away from them, they eat it. They chug OJ, gatorade, (we don’t drink soda) and again, alot of milk.
I am pretty sure that anyone with kids, especially boys will agree that food prices are up.
Anybody seen their water bill lately? Anyone care to comment on what the city of San Diego has done with fees for water over the past few years? Anyone care to comment on FLUs comments about SDGE?
Sure thing, no inflation, nothing to see here, just keep moving along.

ParticipantI agree with UR. I have no idea why this is so landmark. This is a simple case of dumb and dumber. Dumb seller and dumber agent.
