ParticipantYet that still didn’t stop you from making a sweeping generalization that was totally untrue and was quickly identified as such by two realtors and two other posters who are not realtors.

ParticipantUCG I agree with you that the property types in UC that may suit the needs of the poster include that small pocket north of Governer and east of Genessee. Like you said they will be small, old and in need of repair but will be in some nifty locations.

ParticipantAN just chalk it up to another uninformed post being made by someone out of touch with the local market.
She may as well had said much of Mira Mesa has Mello Roos and high HOA.
The truth of the matter is that most of PQ does not have Mello Roos nor do they have HOA. The portion of PQ that would have them include the newer developments on the west side. Furthermore those homes are not even in the target range of this buyer.
What can you do right?

ParticipantCAR I understand your point that the society in general benefits when everyone is provided with a better way of life, (be it home ownership, or job or whatever). I just don’t know if a govt susidy for housing works because of the differentials in each market around the country.
Really your bottom line is simply trying to give an opportunity to those who cannot or have not been able to get a home in SD. However spreading that logic to the entire country makes the playing field alot different.
It is a tough problem.
