sd galParticipant
I just wonder if you foreclose, do you have to give up all your savings and belongings such as car?
if you make certain amount of fixed income, do you still have to pay back some of the debt?
sd galParticipantdon’t forget 5% service charge, buyer is responsible to pay to the auction company.
is is actualy more like average 25% off retail price after that.
Went to see the units once again as my friends wanted to attend auction. then we found out that $5000 cash or cashier’s check were required to get in to the auction site. Just needed to show check at the entrance to prove you are a serious buyer. So we gave up.
I was told from REDC sales guy that bunch more auctions are coming up in SD and dates are not set yet. if you register, they will send info via email.
sd galParticipantLet’s act like adults, I understand newbie’s point. I actually live in a area ( South Park) and after reading his comments about NP, I have a lot more respect in it.
Personally, I love South Park more though….I just like it because SP is more family oriented and quiet, yet SP still has Moms and Pops small business attitude.
It is not just La Boheme, but entire SD housing market is falling apart, and yes, it will go back up in 10 years. there’s nothing wrong with La Boheme in my opinion….
sd galParticipantThe thing is… poor people need place to live, just like you.
You need those people live in central area, so they can clean after you.
And North Park is one of few area for low income family to live near their work in Downtown.
I know City of SD was trying to make NP into next Hillcrest, but it just won’t happen…
I just wish La Boheme was built in nicer part of area, west of Park blvd as HereWeGo suggested. Because the building is one of the best I have seen for the budget, it is extreemly unique and fit my taste.sd galParticipantOne bedroom with loft is starting at $169k at the auction. It won’t go more than 200k-250k in my opinion.
Appraisal is wrong….
sd galParticipantI went to see the sales office at La Boheme and took a tour to see 4 models.
One with loft was really nice. I think lay out’s are unique and I wouldn’t mind living in this building…. but… this is North Park. Silliest part of North Park with a lot of homeless people and nasty commercial buildings.
Once I was outside of La Boheme, reality kicked in and I decided not to bit on this…Sales person said all 220 units are sold out except for 35 units that is going for auction. Not bad for today’s market after all.
