ParticipantAgreed. I seldom take a bath. However, when you have kids you need a tub in the house, IMO. I wouldn’t buy a house without 1 tub. It doesn’t have to be in the MB. That’s why I qualified – If he doesn’t have a tub in the house, then he should put one in.

ParticipantIf you have another bathroom with a full tub, I would go with double sinks (very very useful in the morning for a couple and most newer houses have it) and shower stall. If you don’t have another full size tub, I would go with a tub & dual sinks, no separate shower stall.
But that’s just me…
I personally think that newer fashion of separate shower stall and tub is a huge waste of real estate and when the house is not huge, I’d rather have that extra space in the MBdr or the walkin closet. One can shower in the tub, or take a bath. No need for both. But for all I know there are plenty of people that enjoy having a separate luxurios bath tub and think it’s worth it; I don’t.Scarlett
