Participant
I am about to move to a house with its back to Calle Cristobal Blvd in Mira Mesa. Calle Cristobal is no freeway but I have seen people driving 50+ mph on this street. I know it will be noisy. I have lived in a similar house for 4 years. You will get used to it. However, double pane windows and doors are required. These windows and doors can cost up to $10,000 for a house.
Personally, I don’t think even triple-paned windows will cut it. I’ve been recently in a couple of houses with the yard against Calle Cristobal. The noise was simply too much for us, even inside the house, even with double windows – which they had. I didn’t want to get used to it. But that’s just me – obviously.Scarlett

ParticipantThis is indeed funny, I never dreamed that a couple other Piggs lived at some point in Vista del Lago. We owned a Mira Lago townhouse on Cmto Pasadero facing the Battle moutain 2004-2007. It’s a small world.

ParticipantThat’s where I owned – in Mira Lago more exactly. Was the place in Bernardo Ridge? The noise from I-15 wasn’t bad in my unit – near “battle mountain”, up the hill on Cmto Pasadero. That is, for the complex, opposite direction from I-15, so I think exact location matters. You could still hear it in the yard, but was really white noise, it certainly didn’t bother my sleep or enjoying the peace of my patio. certainly not a deal breaker at all. I’ve checked out something backing into Pomerado & Poway Rd too, terrible, though!
