The H1N1 vaccine is free.
When I went they only had the nasal mist/spray. I know this form is used for kids, not sure if for adults too. In any case, you should not have a chronic respiratory illness like asthma, for the nasal stuff.

As an adult you can get H1N1 vaccine if you are in a high risk category only with a proof from your doctor that you have a severe chronic condition (diabetes, asthma, others -I don’t know which exactly qualify – you have to talk to your doctor). Or pregnant women – especially in the second and third trimester. Or if you are healthy but a medical worker. And they ask a few other questions – if you had a fever in the last day or so or feel sick you shouldn’t get it at that moment.

There isn’t enough vaccine as of now for all kids and medical workers. Every day they get a batch , and you have to call/ask what type it is, if it’s for adults or babies etc. The waiting can be up to 2-3 hours and they can ran out of it in the afternoon. When I went it was pretty orderly.

They also were giving the seasonal flu vaccine to anybody in good health – that was 10 bucks.

As a note, for my kid, they asked if she had received any other vaccinations in the last month or so.

Costa Verde apt. and towers have 3 bdr, but they are expensive – over $2000. La Jolla Colony has some 3 bdr townhomes or homes (Madrid, Las Palmas, Barcelona) that rent usually on CL around $2000 and over. La Regencia has only a handful of 3 bdr. , cheaper. It’s a nice & convenient part of town, so for 3 bdr you probably would fork close to $2000 at least in these complexes that I know. Cape La Jolla also have 3 bdr. condos, but few come on the rental market.

True, I did not get as many as they were not doing that many then. But still there were quite a few before age 2. And I do have a problem with the schedule of vaccinations nowadays – too many vaccines at once. The doctors should offer the choice to get only one vaccine shot every few weeks.

They are definitely NOT harmless. Think about all the food colorants/additives/preservatives and other chemicals that are now abundant. And of course, artificial hormones, increased amounts of pesticides. The plastic and materials like that – used everywhere, esp.in food containers., you handle those a lot everyday. The household cleaners – lots more different chemicals now than before. And now we have more autism, more allergies and asthma, and obesity and other things.

As for autism, indeed a large and long study has been finished relatively recently and couldn’t prove a link between mercury in vaccines and autism.

Vaccinations CAN have side effects, some serious. FDA doesn’t approve vaccines unless the serious side effects occur in less than 1 in , like 10 million or more. There is always this disclaimer. Statistically the odds are that you are MUCH more likely to get this potential fatal disease if not vaccinated, than to have a serious effect from the vaccine (and I mean serious). There are the LONG term effects too which are not well studied with newer types of vaccines. But flu vaccines have been around a few decades.
