Awesome! We will definitely check it out then, the big clincher would be commute, we’d have to test that to see if it works. 45′ one way is not something to take lightly. Perhaps we can figure out a way to work from home some days.

My co-worker was saying that he feels that it has the great potential there, that Otay Ranch/East Lake is going to get more developed and more desirable and the values will increase – in time.

I am not against old houses in principle, and on the East Coast for example, I’ve seen VERY old and very well built.

I have seen enough stock in town built in 70s and I didn’t like the quality of construction at all. Why should I expect something that has another 20 years of age on top of that be any good?

I haven’t looked yet at a place near Calle Cristobal, but it seems from listing pretty nice area/houses. A bit expensive, but nice. 1990s is fine. Even mid/late 80s.

I agree. UCSD Daycare and now Montessori preschool/kindergarden was/is $1000/month/kid. I am really looking forward to get rid of that and begin putting significantly more money away for retirement…
