ParticipantI remember seeing a couple of places for sale in LJ shores heights a year or so back. Definitely better, I agree. I haven’t been in any, but I think they would be indeed a better choice. But there are rarely any on the market.

ParticipantWould you be concerned about the occupancy rate for resale value?
Being close to 50%, chances are more owners would move out and rent or sell to investors. True, they could also sell to people who want to live there. But being a condo, rental is a more likely scenario isn’t it.
Thank you all for your comments and suggestions!

Participant

About schools that’s a good point. But if the kids automatically enroll in La Jolla elementary and middle school (and it is zipcode 92037), the only choice that could disappear would be the UC high one which doesn’t make much sense. (Why would a kid go from Muirlands LJ middle to UC high???)
If you read the “Optional Enrollment” section of your sandi-net link, you cannot enroll in the option until it is time to attend.
In SDUSD, a “zip code” has nothing to do with the price of tea in China.
I know but my point there is no choice where to go to elementary or middle schools. The middle school feeds into LJ High. UC high is an option if one really wants it. LJ High is the default.Scarlett
