Sandi EganParticipanttothjj,
Apparently you’ve been here for a while, and you must know that people’s misfortune does not make most of us happy. Being proven right on a long-term prediction does, though.
Rustico, I’ll take that high five.

First of all, it’s a point of view question. To me everybody else is trying to spoil Ron Paul’s run.
Secondly, let’s have a look at the rest of the Republican field (let’s leave Dems aside for a moment). We have 5 people whose positions on most issues are so similar it’s difficult to distinguish between them. They all support war and interventionalism. They all are neoconservatives and have neocon advisors. All proclaim their support of conservative values, but most of them have a proven history of being very liberal at times. It’s not bad to be a liberal, but it is bad to be insincere or a flip-flop. How can you trust a guy who makes false promises just to get elected?
They are so similar that even GOP establishment has difficulties distinguishing them. As a result, they take turns as “frontrunners” and “media darlings”. And the rest of the pack uses every opportunity to attack the leader. They all have enough skeletons in the closet to fuel the attacks.
In sharp contrast, Ron Paul verifiably has a very consistent political record that spans 4 decades. He is a man of principle. He has an enormous online following that translates into a very creative real-life grassroots campaign. He raises more money from individual people than any of those, and wins an overwhelming majority of Republican straw polls.
This Sunday, December 16, on the anniversary of Boston Tea Party Ron Paul’s grassroots campaign organizes the greatest online fundraising in history. I encourage everyone to visit the website
