Rich ToscanoKeymasterThis is the political threadjacking/forumjacking policy: http://piggington.com/threadjackers_will_be_persecuted_maybe_even_prosecuted
I’m not seeing any violations since after I put these up.
The following is not about NSD, but about the topic of banning in general. As I said in the Brian thread, I won’t ban anyone for being unpopular. But I will ban them for any number of reasons. I disagree with the suggestion that there needs to be some kind of “legal framework” for banning. The ways in which someone can make the forum a worse place are infinite. I’m not going to spend a bunch of time enumerating and clarifying them, only to have someone inevitably find new ways or find a grey area. If someone doesn’t know that they’re making the forum a worse place, I don’t really have a lot of sympathy.
Back to NSD. Personally I think he’s pretty harmless. He puts up these ridiculous troll threads and gets made fun of. We don’t have David Lereah and George Chamberlin or wacky random permabull realtors to make fun of now that everyone admits that housing was a huge bubble… mockery targets are a legit part of the ecosystem.
So that’s my initial take, admittedly without having given it much thought. If NSD wants to continue his antics, that suits my fine as long as they are kept relatively collegial and in the spirit of fun. But if he starts turning things acrimonious and/or tedious, yes, I will ban him and I don’t really think I have to provide any more justification than that.

Rich ToscanoKeymasteroutamojo, as I understand it muscle strains happen routinely with frequent runners (this from my own experience and from the testimony of a massage therapist I know who unfortunately lives out of state). Perhaps the disconnect is comparing the experience of high school runners with that of my 39-year old husk of a body.
walterwhite, thanks but this is not a question of “doing it wrong”… the issue derives from a weird anatomical situation that has caused me problems for decades, which is that my legs are of somewhat different lengths from one another. Such problems crop up once in a while and dealing with them as they come up, ie the metaphorical band aid, is the best I can hope for given the situation.
Thanks everyone for the info.
