Participant
I came across this one and I consider it a wild price. 1139 Meade. Now, while 350k is probably considered affordable for a house in San Diego, and certainly in 92116, I find that PPSF: $628 is offensive for a 1/1 on a microscopic lot the kind you’d see in Mission Beach. This does not back a canyon. Oh, in the hope to not have flippers defending themselves, it just so happens to be a flip. Bought Apr 15, 2010 for 200k. It has the SS and granite and new paint, of course.
This is overpriced. However, its location looks like the end of Meade on a dead end street, so traffic would be minimal. Did you notice that the bedroom did not even have a closet? I wonder what it will sell for.

House sold for to an FHA buyer which makes it unlikely to be a flipper. It sold in 6 days and likely had multiple offers to bid it up. If its getting lots of upgrades its likely the buyers had money but went FHA to save their cash to pay for updating the house. These alleged flipper stories are starting to sound like Bigfoot sitings.
Thanks SDR….guess it just seemed flippy to me. Time will tell if owners move in….or it goes for sale again.

ParticipantHere is another one I suspect was bought by a flipper. In my neighborhood, listed at $399K. Solid construction, but an old woman had lived there, and it was not updated. Open house and sold within one month. Sold for $415K. Since then, there have been plumbers, electricians, all kinds of workers over there–I guess $50K in upgrades. If they try and sell for 150K more, that would make its price $550K. I think the flippers are going to lose on that one.
