Don, there’s been a lot of ridiculous accusations generalized against anyone of faith. They’ve been “bashing, negative and opinionated” Anyone who’s been reading on this site knows what I’m referring to, and I won’t waste time/energy digging up the quotes.
Sure, that make’s me the victim. You’re right. But my goal in the post was to get the focus back on the housing market. That was the point I was trying to make. Now I’ll take my own advice now and stop talking about this.
Back to housing…
redtideParticipantYes, I brought it up and then clarified what I was referring to. And there was a reason to put it in my post. I’m not sure what you mean by “playing the victim”.

redtideParticipantPerry:
You don’t “dig” that this blog should be an effective place for people to learn about the current housing market?
I never mentioned not debating one another, I just want to keep it in context of the site. Please continue to call out the bull on the “buy buy buy” posts!
The vast majority of the off topic bashing is coming from one side. That being said, let’s stick to the housing topic and keep the bashing AND instigating to a minimum.

redtideParticipantSD Realtor:
What makes this area a relatively tough sell? Because it’s east of ECR, or is there something I’m missing? It’s got low HOA, but it does have that dated 80’s cloned stucco box look.
Perry:
Here’s the deal, I’m here to read about the housing market. Trust me, my faith is hardly shaken by the comments I’ve heard around here. And it’s gone way beyond the Temecula scam. More to the point, it’s annoying to waste time filtering through irrelevant posts. And many of these recent posts lack knowledge – they consist, for the most part, of emotion and opinion – very un-piggington.
I guess I’m all business when I’m reading, and I want this blog to be as effective for others to learn about the current housing market. You dig?

redtideParticipantThanks Duck! I haven’t seen too many banks really taking it on the chin yet. I’ve heard about alot of the short sales priced where the bank can dump it and not lose too much…only problem is those aren’t moving, along with all the other peak priced inventory. Is this low to mid $600s figure the going price today, or was this the typical pricing during the 05 peak?

redtideParticipantThanks for the info Bugs!
That’s interesting, a foreclosure (in a nice neighborhood) selling at the list price, no higher.
I’ve heard a lot of talk lately about foreclosures selling above the list price – this figure is just an attractive number to get people in the door and into a “bidding frenzy”. Obviously no bidding war here.
Yeah, that’s a big drop – especially for a nice north coastal town.
Of coures Zillow’s estimate for this home is $597k – over $100k higher than the recent purchase price.
