Hi Clifford,
I have actually just queried our DB to look at the dates and it seems as if the time span between initial submission of a Lead to installation is all over the map and mostly dictated by the sales process. There is at least one lead in which the process from submission to installation was exactly one month. Most, seem to have taken a little over two months.
Best,
PaulpjwalParticipantHi Clifford,
I have a software company that has recently built a platform for a network marketing company submitting leads to Solar City. The bonuses the sales reps get are all based upon the key dates such as converted, contracted and installed. What I have learned so far is that the process from beginning to end is at least 2 months. I don’t know all the details and we just have preliminary #’s so far.
However, I have learned that Solar City is in fact the best provider to go with as they are the most vertically integrated company. I have Solar myself from Solar Power and I’m not satisfied. I think as a new customer you would definitely want the new battery that SC is providing only for their customers at this point.
If you would like assistance in the process feel free to message me and I will put you in contact with the best rep that I can. I have a very tiny installation and it only saves about 20% btw.
Best,
PaulpjwalParticipantI’m sorry, it was 974 when i checked last year. I was unaware that it went down :-(.

pjwalParticipantThere has been only one resale on the two blocks that adjoin our back garage alley in the year that we have all moved in. The family has decided to grab a bigger house in the neighborhood and is considering renting the one they have. Two of the 12 owners on our row are second home buyers in Del Sur that wanted to live in the location that we have that sits on the park. Not an investment diversification strategy I would necessarily subscribe to, but that should tell you something.
Lots of new houses still coming in, but Del Sur has that unique neighborhood “nook” “protected” “home” feel.
My wife and I looked all over North County and we did not get the same feel anywhere. We loved some of the homes we saw in La Costa area (where we bought our first house), but it never felt the same, nor could we imagine the realization of quality of life we now have in Del Sur.
It is an amazing place to live.
pjwalParticipantdouble clicked 😉
pjwalParticipantYou will have a higher % rate in any new development because of MR — and it is a bit higher in Del Sur than most.
But, there is no community that compares. It is a young family paradise. We know every single neighbor on our block. There are 6 gated pools — soon to be 8. Events are put on by the HOA, like “movies in the park” in which they not only screen a movie, but have theme photo backdrops for kids to dress up and take pictures.
The Del Sur Elementary (walking distance for all children) now ranks in the top 10 of all API scores in California after only 2 years of opening.
On any given weekend night, my wife and I receive multiple text messages from our neighbors that invite us over for BBQ, poker, drinks. We watch our neighbor’s children learn to swim in the pool in front of our house.
It is awesome. Eventually, we want a larger lot, bigger house, lake in the backyard and all that…but for the early family — Del Sur is perfect.
pjwalParticipantSpring of next year is what they are saying the move in date will be. Shea has been on time or ahead of every date they have provided so far. They have been a superior business to deal with thus far.
Any advice on when we should put our current house on the market? Our current plan is a couple weeks after the holidays.

pjwalParticipantchrisM, hello future neighbor :-).
To close this thread out, my wife and I did end up getting the model we wanted in Del Sur last weekend. The plan 3 right on the future Kristen Glen Park.
We also really liked the homes at Mirasol in La Costa Greens and especially the upper cul-de-sac some will be located at, but they already have a list for that and it’s not slated till late 2011. Also, we just love the neighborhood of Del Sur more than any other we have seen.
Every single buyer in our phase is a couple around our age range +/- 5 years. A couple two houses down from the previous phase are both fellow UCLA alma matter that graduated the same year as myself.
And today, the Del Sur facebook page announced the latest API scores for Del Sur elementary…954.
Thank you everyone for your advice. It really helped us stay more prudent and patient in our hunting.
Now, if you know anyone interested in a 1400 sq ft house/9000 sq ft lot in Rancho Ponderosa, please contact me ;-). (My apologies if that’s not good etiquette to advertise, I will remove if so)
