Hi Raptor. it’s a strategy that is not working. they tried initially at 5.3 a couple of years ago. Odd that the owner – according to some of the listings – is a realtor and doing this. Also interesting a covenant property you mentioned before that tried to flip is now below original the cost, and they had put money into it.

I think a few homes actually lowered their prices once they heard you bought, taking another precious buyer out of the eligible pool. PichonParticipanthi raptor – no it was listed on the mls for quite a while – originally on 5/25/06. Started ~3.5m and chased the mkt down. I think the last listing was 2.75-2.95. Perhaps the owners just got tired of waiting and dealt. I viewed it in April. Based on your prior posts, I don’t think it is what you are looking for anyway. But there’s always another house out there and the next one may look like an even better deal than anything you have seen so far. good luck.

PichonParticipantIt’s an attempt to flip. At 2.5m it was a good deal for the covenant. They painted the interior and replaced a staircase which was not up to code – and relisted for 3.7m! It is unlikely to deal anywhere near that price in the current market.
