ParticipantWow, a housing related topic ๐
For bang for the buck, I think there are some nice areas of La Mesa, San Carlos, and the Rolondo neighborhood in San Diego (bordering La mesa) that are beginning to look almost affordable. But I’m looking primarily at locations within half an hour of downtown, which is important to me.
I’m curious what others might see as the “hidden gems” of San Diego.

ParticipantI may completely misunderstand the tax codes, but if you’re married can’t file individually or as a couple?
If you don’t like the “marriage penalty” file individually. I don’t understand the outrage (except by large income earning individuals who want to use their non working spouse as a tax break. If I were one of them I’d be pissed).

ParticipantThat looks like one heck of a bidding war.
But unfortunately its just a typo. Other records show the recent buyers paid $837k.
Are the numbers on sdlookup self reported? I’ve seen several properties that “sell” for significantly more than than the asking price, but on further examination these sales turn out to be foreclosures.
