Participant“Hillary left 18 million cracks in the highest, hardest glass ceiling in America. But it turns out the women of America aren’t finished yet, and we can shatter that glass ceiling once and for all,” Palin said in her speech.
The remark brought a mixed reaction from the Republican crowd; some women cheered, but there was also some low-pitched groaning and booing. http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/08/29/palin.republican.vp.candidate/index.html
Run on Obama’s lack of experience, then announce your VP is a rookie female? Scary risky, imho.

ParticipantFemale. Have bought and sold a few properties in PB and downtown, some with huge profits (bought in ’95, sold in ’04) and some with merely respectable profits. I still own the place we’re in now, but that’s just because it would cost the same to rent here. I follow real estate here and on Hawaii, but have no intention of buying right now.

ParticipantThis letter strikes me as an internal joke that was accidentally added to their spam cannon. It’s a classic, ‘oh sh*t, did that go OUT?’

ParticipantWhen I was a teenager my Mom gave me “The Only Investment Guide You’ll Ever Need.” It has good info about budgeting, spending wisely, saving, etc. Of course it also has info about investing, but the basics are there, and easy to follow.
