ParticipantFrom marion: “don’t know about San Diego, maybe. However, I definitely see prices dropping to that level in Murrieta and Temecula. In 1997-98, my parents bought a 1867 sf house for $140k base price. I predict, by 2009 those will be the current prices here in this area.”
Uh, yah right….

ParticipantI know people who buy a car, it gets repossessed and within a week they are driving a new car. That one gets repossessed and within a week they are driving a new car. And the cycle continues.
They stop paying rent, they stay in that house right up until they get kicked out. Then they move to another house – no problem. And the cycle continues.

ParticipantThe banks will use the lower interest rates to minimize losses – they will keep the cheap $$ for themselves and not pass the savings on to consumers.
That’s why mortgage rates have not really dropped recently.
Well, that’s what I heard on CNBC this morning.

Participant“4000 sq ft for $300k is a good goal in Morgan Hill, we know it will get to $100 sq ft because it is already there in so many areas.”
THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN, it will NEVER be $75 psf in Morgan Hill, barring some national calamity.
What are you smoking?
News Flash: Not all people in Temecula work at Costco, and not everyone in Temecula is poor.
