ParticipantI am the authority on Temecula. I know more about Temecula than TG ever will…
Ok, maybe not more than TG (=:
Anyhow, the prices in Temecula are down – in fact I want to buy in the near future. I am refinancing my house right now – getting it ready to rent.
You may recall in a recent message of mine that I found a REO in Crowne Hill for 300k (~2300 sq. ft.). Not a bad deal, could probably get it around 280k.
I looked in to Wolf Creek/Sycamore (Woodside Homes) this past weekend – not one other person was there.
The houses are pretty nice, they have one @ ~3300 sq. ft. at about 395k. I told my wife why not offer them 330k hitting the $100/sq. ft. mark.

Participant90k isn’t exactly chump change…oh yah, I forgot, I am on Piggy’s Fantasy Island where 99.9% of all people are not part of the so-called “middle-class” (an ugly word on these forums). Piggy’s Fantasy Island – where the median income is 250k and the median credit score is 845 – and yet most are renters.
Of course someone making 90k could afford a 600k house, depends on how much he/she has for a down payment.

ParticipantI’m not sure how valid this comment is about the pensions, but I am sure about this: If it were not for the private sector, public sector employees would have NO pension at all!

Participantstockstradr: I wish I had not read that, now I am even angrier.
My only glimmer of hope seems to be Ron Paul at this point.
I read last year that CalPERS invests in a hedge fund that focuses on “restructured” companies. A large part of this ‘restructuring’ was to eliminate company pension funds (for private sector employees).
