There is no shortage of “talent” right here in America – and especially San Diego. UCSD and SDSU produce plenty of qualified applicants.
The people (Bill Gates, etc…) who say there is a shortage of technically qualified US Citizens are spreading falsehoods for profit.

svelte: I think you must be nearly clueless when you make statements like “people change careers several times” and “pick a new one”.
When someone is young with minimal responsibilities that might not be hard to do; however when one is in their 40’s with a family, a mortgage, etc…it’s another story.
And most career changes result in lower salaries.
And no, esmith is not right.
