Wal Mart, the poster child for labor abuse…

dbapig: Just when I thought you were more of a deep thinker than a short thinker. Oh well.
Glad you took all that time to clear up the pronunciation thing. Many out of work Americans will be glad to hear about it. I will rephrase my future posts.
Getting back to what I think are slightly more important issues….
Please take the time to ask Jeff Bridges to disavow his commercial relationship with Hyundai during this time of overwhelming economic turmoil and come back home to do good things for the new runner up in industrialized nations, the good ole U.S. of A.
She’s been taking a lot of hits lately and is pretty bloodied up. And the thrashing seems to be coming from her own team mates.
Don’t let the naysayers get yer goat.
Go here and place a small, positive post in favor of Lady Liberty:

Who knows ? You may just get in on the ground floor of something big and exciting ! 🙂

I don’t know if Springsteen saved jobs with the Wal Mart mess but, if I get the time to research further I will get back to you. It’s an interesting question.
I was intrigued by someone of his stature admitting he was wrong on an issue that may cost him money. He certainly proved he is a man of character.
I am not convinced on the Hyundai pronunciation as the site you used is sketchy at best.
The responses are all over the place and just matters of opinion. I’ve heard it pronounced many ways over the years but never rhyming with Sunday.
The bigger and more important issue is Jeff Bridge’s endorsement for Hyundai during a time of serious crisis in America.
Go here and respectfully ask Jeff Bridges to stop shilling for Hyundai.

It’s a cause worth the small amount of time required.

Bruce Springsteen’s Wal Mart debacle
dbapig: After his fans called him out on it, Springsteen admitted in a letter to the NYT that he was wrong to sell an exclusive CD at Wal Mart, the poster child for labor abuse:
As for Hyundai, I have actually heard Jeff Bridges pronounce it HUN-DIE in older commercials.
The Springsteen snafu was my real inspiration for the Ask Jeff Bridges to dump Hyundai cause.
If “The Boss” was man enough to admit to a bit of hypocrisy I thought maybe Jeff Bridges might think twice about it too.
By the way, if you have a change of heart, you can ask Jeff Bridges to drop the Hyundai endorsement by going to his website here:
http://nicko62.websitetoolbox.com/post?id=3268355
Maybe Jeff Bridges will surprise us all by bailing out of the Hyundai humiliation.

And, yes, you are so right: Scarlet cleaned my clock.
It’s good that you have finally admitted that Allan.
A tip of the hat to ye my friend. 🙂
I drove a 1968 Black, Chevy Impala coupe. Big block 427 with a four speed Hurst shifter and slotted steel Corvette wheels. A real sleeper. If I knew then what I know now….well, woulda, shoulda, coulda…..
Thank you for giving me another opportunity to remind folks to take the time to ask Jeff Bridges to give up the Hyundai voice-overs and return to his roots.
It worked with Bruce Springsteen’s Wal Mart debacle, it could work with Jeff Bridges.
Here is the link to his site to do your small part to try and suppress the unfettered and unfair advancement of yet another imported automobile.

It’s not protectionism or whining or socialism, etc.
It’s just good, common sense.
HIE-YUN-DIE does NOT rhyme with Sunday. 😉
