What strikes me is how this “intelligent” guy is still in denial. I mean, he never mentions any realistic plan to adjust his life to live within his means. He has learned nothing from all this.

His MO has been to snake around (within?) the system ignoring the fact that numbers don’t lie and assuming that mathematics is a theory.

The light will never come on for Edward. He and his enabler wife are stuck on stupid. Their fear of crushing their children’s rosy life has them paralyzed in a financial vortex of disaster.

Sales from his book with push his bottom farther down — but only for a while.

He is in a death spiral and doesn’t even know it. Too bad. He will find out soon enough.

Now it seems like new listings are just dribbling in along with some price reductions on homes with obvious issues.

It will be good to know what the status is of properties so I don’t have to bug ya with those heavily-bidded, short-sale inquiries.

You said you really want to purchase a home. Do it. I made a ton of money selling my LCV home purchased in 2000. Great tax write offs. Landscaped how I liked it and not have to deal with a landlord.

I am 56 and plan to buy a home in Escondido-Bonsall-Vista with land and views. Getting a 15-year loan and plan to hammer it down in half that time. Then live in it forever.

It’s all about deciding what you really want and doing it. Keep asking questions and checking your heart for what you and your family want. Write out the pros and cons.

There is no answer that is best for everyone.
