OperationParticipant
Yeah, she’s a family friend. However, you can bet that after that email we won’t be using her professional services.
She sent a follow-up email an hour after that saying “oops that wasn’t supposed to go to you”.
Oops! I’ll be using someone else to take out a loan when all is said and done.
I usually prefer a little bit of a softer sell myself. Dinner, roses and some lube…

OperationParticipantMy Wife and I looked extensively at Eureka Springs and at the Shea development a half mile away (Chaparral Ridge). We were enamored with both developments. That is, until we drove through north-central Esco on El Norte Parkway. YIKES!
There is a very good reason the directions on the Lennar website have you come up Bear Valley Pkwy. Also, drive up at night so you can see all the fresh paint covering the graffiti just about everywhere.
The nail in the coffin was the long-term resale values. We think appreciation will be weak when the market returns to equilibrium.
Do a search on Eureka Springs on this website for other comments.

OperationParticipantWow. A serious bargain! NOT. He’s trying to cash-out when he bought the place in ’98 for $93,000. Over 300% gainer!
I wonder how many refis/HELOC’s he has.
Good catch though! It wont take long before we see more of these.
OperationParticipantThe whole area also has thousands of new properties coming online in the next 18 months. Tick…tick…tick…
OperationParticipantI’m following this area with great interest. We’ve been scouting up places from Temecula through Menifee. There is so much new development coming on-line it’s not even funny. Over the next year it’s going to get very nasty IMHO. Especially with all the Hummers, Giant SUV’s and boats sitting in-front of so many of these newly built 4000sq-ft homes.
OperationParticipantSadly, we’re going to be seeing fighting like this and a lot worse as we travese the slipery back-side of an RE bust.
