Seem like you have 4 relatively higher end homes on large lots in the middle of lower end neighbors. Not sure if that’s a good mix.

The graph did say it is at 5 year base. So you figure after 10 years on the force plus overtime, they should be pulling in six figures.
ocrenterParticipant
Thank you everyone, for your great ideas–really appreciate your thoughts, and I’ll be passing them along to our friends.
Even though I absolutely realize you do get more for your money at SB, I know that, after much discussion, they have come to the final conclusion that they don’t want to live East of I-15 for quite a few reasons.
I also know they want to be as close to Del Mar as they can get, and still have some space–since her family lives there–hence their interest in Santaluz, and I will most definitely share all of the other possibilities you have mentioned. We’ve been in RSF for such a long time that I rarely investigate other newer areas, so your input really helps.
Thanks again!
Santaluz is absolutely beautiful, they’ll definitely enjoy it.
ocrenterParticipantAgree, I seriously doubt the sales office would be able to trick someone into buying a house by misinforming them about the school district.
ocrenterParticipant
Agreed on all those. The thing that keeps pulling me to SB are the lots and yard sizes. Santa Luz is nice as well but a little more high end… price wise…
Santaluz and Crosby fees are almost twice as much as SB as well. The larger lots of SB also come with larger sqft for the same price.
ocrenterParticipant
Just to clarify. What he won was the Louisiana caucus. Which guarantees him at least roughly 40% of Louisiana’s 46 delegates. Most of the rest are uncommitted, and based on his monsterous 6% of the vote in the Louisian primary vote held about a month ago, he may get more than 1/2 of the total delegates. He’s developed a pretty good plan for the caucuses. But when it’s a more standard voting election, he can’t stand up against other candidates. Which is why he remains unelectable.
Maybe he can introduce a bill to change the electoral college and our good old one person one vote system to a system of caucuses for the general election.
ocrenterParticipant
I hear those greasers at Torrey Highlands are real lowlifes.
Yup, totally the wrong side of the tracks.
ocrenterParticipantSeem reasonable. Essentially another gardener…
Then again, I’m with AN on the DIY thing. The salt generator helps a lot, just need to add couple of bags of salt when the salt generator shows it is running low. As for the debris, no debris issue with a pool cover.
Btw, how often does the pool get used in LJ?

$159/sq ft

ocrenterParticipant
There is plenty of land especially in North county, they just don’t want YOU living on it!!

Job centers change, once far off bedroom communities become new hi Tech Job centers all the time.
Irvine, Valencia, Carlsbad, ….. Next !!I could add Simi Valley, Arcadia, even Ausaz & Chino hills these days, all it takes is a few enginerds and some office space.
If there’s a new center of employment developing near or in SD, it would be Temecula. With the new SD county plan, I think we are pretty much done.
ocrenterParticipantwell, more specifically, we are running out of land within close proximity to jobs.
He pointed to downtown, I15 and I5 corridors, and Carlsbad as the centers for jobs here in the county. And basically all of the vacant land in areas surrounding these centers are spoken for.
I must say Pardee had a lot of foresight 50 years ago to buy up and keep so much what is now prime real estate within the 56 corridor.
ocrenterParticipantAgree with tenants, it is written in the lease agreement.
ocrenterParticipant
Well looks it might be investment in another car afterall:(
Save me Obi-sdr, you’re my only hope
Hey, do you need to use the car for work? Might help bring your tax rate down…
ocrenterParticipantI read the UT article this weekend too.
the amazing stat was 75% of all domestic goods are still made in this country even though there was a net loss of jobs in manufacturing. meaning the manufacturing sector simply got a lot better at automation and workers got more efficient.
If you just look at the per capita GDP of the Chinese coastal provinces, they have now become too expensive to have that competitive edge vs our highly efficient manufacturing sector. So factories are having to move into inland provinces. But once factories have to start moving inland, there’s now another layer of transportation cost to deal with.
