Participant
Something is driving me crazy…
At my second home, in Philly, I installed the HDTV antenna on the roof and ran the cable to the basesment where it splits off to 3 locations where I have TVs.
The 2 TV upstairs get the ABC channel, but the one in the basement does not. If I don’t split the antenna output, then the basement TV gets the ABC channel.
They are all the same TVs.
What am I doing wrong? Do I need an amplifier? The ABC channel was always weak and before I had the outdoor HDTV antenna, I could not get it.
logic tells me the amplifier is what is needed. essentially when you split the weak signal it got even weaker.

Participantgood catch. there’s another short sale just slightly bigger down the same street asking for $200k more at $850k-899k.
the lowest over 4000 sqft closings in the zipcode is still above $800k. this one is as fishy as they come…

Participant
Thanks mp74444. You must have missed my more recent post on previous page. It seems that we may be on a single salary at some point soon and for a while, so we are not buying yet for another year and it seems we have to reduce our price range, which is why we are considering some locations with longer commutes, but which will get us something decent in the low 400s…
We don’t mind the age that much. 1980s is perfectly fine.
Aside from that, I think those 2 are good. 2nd one I believe it is overpriced. Should be low 500s.
sorry to hear about the job insecurity as well. there may be a lot of bickering on this forum, but I do believe one thing everyone agree on is the market is not going upward any time soon. so in time of uncertainly, renting is likely the best thing to do.
I do also second mp74444’s suggestion regarding poway. it is one of the best values out there when it comes to price of home in relation to the quality of schools. as long as you do not fall within the core of poway, (Valley elem has the lowest API of 7), everything else is mostly 9-10.
